The Christian’s hope is hope in God in Jesus Christ.
The Bible says it is the confident assurance that God is faithful, and will complete what He has begun. It is an assured trust in God’s promises ‒ not a hoping for the best with fingers crossed!
Christ living in us is our hope, our assurance, of glory (Colossians 1:27). Our hope is in God alone. He is our assurance in this life and the next. When we leave this earth, we will be in Heaven for ever. That is why we need to know for sure that we are born again and have Jesus in our hearts.
